Conductor - Bandmaster - Director Of Music
The Nottinghamshire Police Band would like to announce that it is unfortunately looking for a new Conductor, Bandmaster or Director Of Music.
We are looking for an experienced musician and conductor who will select the music for the band to perform, rehearse the band on a Wednesday night, and conduct the band at it's performances. The new conductor will be ably supported by the band management team which is made up of enthusiastic band members.
If you feel that you have the neccessary skills and experience to lead a group of 40 experienced amateur musicians then we would be very happy to hear from you.

Calling All Tuba, Trombone, Euphonium, percussionists, & 'harmony' Trumpet players !!
The Nottinghamshire Police Band has vacancies for the following instruments;
• Tuba (Eb, Bb, EEb or BBb Bass)
• Tenor Trombones
• Euphonium or Baritone
• Drum Kit Players and players of tuned percussion
• Trumpet player to take on the 2nd / 3rd parts of the section.
However, we would also welcome contact from people who can play the following; Clarinet, French Horn (x 2), Oboe (x 1), & Alto Clarinet (x 1).
We are a friendly, ambitious group, who enjoy a fabulous reputation for being one of the finest symphonic wind bands in the area. We rehearse every Wednesday evening, 7.30pm-9.30pm and have recently moved to a new rehearsal room at the Nottinghamshire Police Headquarters, Sherwood Lodge, Arnold, NG5 8PP, about 5 miles south of Mansfield, & 3 miles north of Nottingham (Arnold), Police HQ is next to the Park Hospital.
Regular concerts are performed at a variety of different venues, including leading the prestigious Joint Emergency Services Carol service at Southwell Minster, and in 2014 we performed at the prestigious ‘Hotel Du Paris’, Monte Carlo, representing Great Britain for the International Police Association.
As a band member, you will also be ackowledged as a Police volunteer, with all the benefits that go with that, including access to internal job adverts, but this also means that while we can accept existing Police Cadets, in the age range of 16 - 18, others, who are not employed by the force, will need to be at least 18 years old.
