Welcome ...

The Nottinghamshire Police Band enjoys a reputation as being one of the finest musical organisations of it’s kind, being staffed by Police Officers, Special Constables, PCSO’s, Police Staff and Musicians from all walks of life.

All staff are volunteers who give their time freely to Nottinghamshire Police.

The Band performs at many charitable events throughout the County and beyond, promoting a positive image of Nottinghamshire Police.

Last year the Band performed at many charitable events as well as in-house engagements including Senior Officers Mess Nights and Long Service and Good Conduct Ceremonies. They performed at RAF Brize Norton for ‘Help The Heroes’, at the High Sheriff’s Inauguration, Southwell Minster, and the Lord Mayer’s Charity Concert at Retford.  The year concluded with the band leading the Joint Emergency Services Carol Service, again held at Southwell Minster.
Rehearsals take place each Wednesday evening between 7.15pm and 9.30pm, currently at Icon Business Centre, junction 27 M1, however it is hoped that a more suitable, permanent rehearsal room will be found soon. The Band has a current establishment of 48 playing staff and a librarian.  It is managed by it’s own management team drawn from experienced staff within the organisation.

Current vacancies are for Eb Bass, Tenor Saxophone, Bassoon and percussion.  Any applications should in the first instance be directed in confidence to the Director of Music, Gary Glover, emailto:Gary.Glover@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk <mailto:Gary.Glover@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk> or telephone on 07866 262182.  A standard of grade 8-associated board or equivalent is desirable.
